On arriving in Tobago
Stepping off the airplane is a pretty neat experience if its your first time in Tobago. The temperature is remarkably comforting, especially after so many hours in the chilly airconditioning imposed by the aircraft crew.
A short walk - really, its just about 75 meters or so to the luggage collection point and to the customs check-out. Note that Crown Point Tobago is a small airport, provincial in spite of its International tag, and if there are two aircraft on the tarmac who have arrived fairly close to each other, it can get a bit chaotic.Assuming your immigration papers are all filled out during your long flight, you are pretty much a shoe-in if your are just a holiday visitor. As an Ousadba guest you would have to state your residence as Ousada Cottage, Ministers Point, Bacolet, Tobago. The house has a phone available, and if your booking arrangements includes it, give the number of that phone on your immigration slip.
You will be picked up. As an Ousadba VIP, someone will take you from the airport to the cottage to make sure you are settled in. The name of the person picking you up on that day will be given to you via email in the pre-stay arrangement process.
Its just a short 12 kilometer drive from the Crown Point airport to the Minister Bay hideaway. We would have placed a cup of coffee on the stove for you, or a cold drink if that was what you preferred. Venus, our charmingly helpful housekeeper will be there on hand for a short while to make sure you know how the house works.
