Welcome to Ousadba, Minister Point. You probably noticed by now that you have in fact, just entered a kind of time warp. Look around. The sights and smells of your surroundings are certainly not from the recent decades, but from an earlier time when doors were not locked, and burglar proofing was still way in the future!

Your first view of the house would have been as you drove up to the front gate along the driveway that leads in from the road. Here one could be forgiven for not actually noticing the house as the breathtaking view that appears, seems to command ones attention to the exclusion of all else.

The gate is entirely homemade, and is secured by a chain and lock. This should be secured whenever you leave the premises. After parking your vehicle, entry is gained via the Back or West porch. There is a light switch just above the cooking gas cylinders on the left, so you can light your way in the dark. This will ensure adequate illumination for the next stage…getting inside the house! A set of keys will be provided for your use. In more trusting and bygone days, the keys were left in the washing machine for use as and when people came along.

After opening the door, the light switches for the dining/living area can be found adjacent to the kitchen entrance. The switch for the kitchen itself is located just inside the kitchen doorway, to the left. From there, if you stand with your back to the kitchen, you are facing southish, and you will be looking at the entrance to the main sleeping area, and the associated bathroom and toilet. kitchen

Adjacent to the kitchen entrance is a passageway that leads north through to the Flat, a self contained bedroom/bathroom with its own living room and kitchen. Although the bedroom/bathroom sees frequent use, the living room /kitchen has, in recent times been under utilized. Therefore the living room has now been turned into a TV and entertainment room. The kitchen is now used for storage and as a light refreshment center.
